SeekOps Inc. specializes in unmanned aerial solutions (UAS) for natural gas emissions identification, aerial inspection, and geospatial data analytics across the Oil & Gas industry. SeekOps designs and manufactures ultra-lightweight, high sensitivity Tunable Laser Spectroscopy gas sensors for methane and other compounds. Our team works with energy companies to deploy these sensors on UAS and other mobile platforms. SeekOps UAS systems and advanced algorithms provide a broad range of real-time gas release detection data, including localization and quantification in operational environments. At SeekOps® we believe that a quantitative, data driven approach to natural gas emissions monitoring is a key aspect of infrastructure integrity management.

As a Front End Developer, you will work to evaluate and improve SeekOps user experience (internal and external). You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists on a wide range of problems. This position functions to develop and maintain the answer products (e.g. quantifications, visualizations, associations) and ensure our external customers are provided the best insights into their emissions.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, well-structured, testable components with React hooks
• Collaborating with stakeholders whenever clarification of requirements are needed
• Collaborating with backend team to define data contracts for endpoints when necessary
• Modifying existing React components
• Participating in Pull Request reviews
• Writing tests for components with Jest and Testing-Library

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Fluency in React, Redux, and TypeScript

• Experience with the following libraries and concepts:
• REST/AJAX API integration with JWT Authentication
• Material UI
• Charting technologies (plotly.js, D3)
• Basic graphic design (for website layout)
• Test-driven development
• GitHub / GitHub Actions
• Comfort in working in agile team/workflow
• Scientific data visualization
